Barmy owner Eve Lodge was thrilled to be ‘among the ladies’ on Friday, selling her bunting and helping raise money for charity.
Eve had been invited to be one of the businesses on show for the Town Foundation’s sold-out Ladies Lunch Charity event at the John Smith’s Stadium, home of Huddersfield Town Football Club and rugby league outfit Huddersfield Giants.
The Town Foundation is a registered charity which makes a difference to the lives of children and young people in the local community.
Shelley College student Eve, aged 16, had paid to be one of the pop-up shops based in the executive boxes at the ground – the money going to the charity – and she had also donated two pieces of her bunting, both Christmas-themed, for the raffle.
Said Barnsley girl Eve: “I really enjoyed the day. I met some lovely people who who took a great interest in me and my bunting, and by all accounts a lot of money was raised for a great cause.”
