A Barmy dash to Yorkshire Choice Awards – in aid of a great cause!

March 24, 2016

Barmy owner Eve Lodge is looking forward to attending the Yorkshire Choice Awards – and offering her support to Martin House Children’s Hospice.

However, she’ll be making a ‘Barmy’ dash in order to make the event in the nick of time!

For Eve, 18, is away skiing with her college, Shelley, until the very day of the event, Saturday, April 2.

Says Eve: “I am away skiing with college, in Italy, but land back at Manchester airport on the Saturday afternoon. I’ll be dashing home to get changed and get over to Elland Road before the start!

“Hopefully there will be no delays as I’m really looking forward to the night. It’s going to be a fantastic occasion, all in aid of a brilliant cause.”

Eve, 18, has been nominated in two categories, Independent Business and Young Achiever, and will join inspirational Yorkshire people at the glittering ceremony at Elland Road – home of Leeds United Football Club.

The host, journalist Christa Ackroyd, will welcome guests ahead of a three-course meal, a glass of fizz, entertainment and, of course, a glitzy awards ceremony, all in aid of Martin House Children’s Hospice, who support children with life-limiting illnesses.

The voting lines are now closed, the votes have been counted and verified, and after 88,000 votes cast, Yorkshire Choice are about to reveal their winners.

And quite possibly there won’t be a dry eye in the house when special guest Lizzie Jones takes the stage to close the ceremony.
