December 15, 2016

Barmy owner Eve Lodge has been named the ambassador for a new Primary Schools enterprise project across South Yorkshire.

Sheffield-based company Louder Than Life approached teenage Barnsley business woman Eve and asked her if she would be involved in an exciting venture that will be rolled out to Primary School kids in 2017.

Starting in February, Louder Than Life (LTL) will be out and about at various Primary Schools in the South Yorkshire region delivering a challenge that is linked to music and business.

And the company are delighted that 18-year-old Eve has agreed to become their ambassador.

A number of Barnsley Primary Schools are already involved and Paul Robson, LTL’s Enrichment Development Manager for the project, hopes that many others will follow their lead.

He said: “The challenge covers all aspects of business, but delivered in a fun, exciting and engaging way.

“The children get to design a product from scratch and touch on all areas of the ‘4ps’, including the Unique Selling Point of their design.

“We are delighted to announce that local Barnsley girl and owner of the successful business ‘Barmy’ Eve Lodge is our ambassador for the competition.

“We wanted someone who was young, inspiring and could relate to the project and as the winner of a number of business awards, including three in the Barnsley I Know I Can Big Challenge (IKIC) amongst her impressive CV, Eve certainly fitted all the criteria.”

Eve is currently studying at The University of Hull Business School while continuing up her Barmy brand.

She had started her business when aged just 14 and a student at Horizon College in Barnsley.

She said: “I am honoured to be the ambassador for such a great enterprise project. The Primary School children will really benefit from the expertise, experience and enthusiasm of the LTL team. They will make the whole project exciting and the children will get such a lot of out of it. And I’m thrilled to be involved.”

School clothing company Vortex are the official sponsors of the new enterprise – and more More details about the venture will be revealed early in the New Year.
